Nasrin Khalili, IIT Stuart Associate Professor of Environmental Management and Sustainability, has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the continuation of an EPA Air Sampling Program jointly managed by IIT Stuart and Indiana University. The grant will provide funding of $8,035 per year for four years to continue the project, which collects samples of meteorological data from a rooftop site on IIT's Main Campus.
Recent IIT alums and Knapp Entrepreneurship Center clients Avelo Roy and Ed Suda of eMotion have built their IPRO/EnPro project into a bona fide entrepreneurial business venture designed around social networking for "tweens". Their idea was featured in a November 8th ABC 7 news story, which can be viewed here.
