Research Interests

Biography
Professor Arastoopour has performed research in energy conversion and conservation at the Institute of Gas Technology for several years. His current research includes the areas of multiphase flow theory and plastic recycling and material processing. Among his numerous publications on these topics is a chapter on dilute gas and cohesive particle flow behavior in Fluidization VII. His many professional activities include memberships on the Executive Committee of the Midwest Universities Energy Consortium, the Program Committee of the State of Illinois Center for Research on Sulfur in Coal, the Editorial Board of the Powder Technology Journal, and chair of Area 3b, Fluidization and Fluid-Particle Systems of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
