Biography
Professor Balinski has over seven years experience in financial systems and is currently a manager of Technology Risk Consulting at Arthur Andersen. His focus is Financial and Professional Services industry groups, and his clients have included the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Heller Financial, ABN AMRO Inc., Bank One Corporation, and DDB Needham. He has developed an IT change management process for one of the largest financial institutions in Chicago, designed and implemented an accounting system for a $750 million hedge fund, led a business unit support team in a large-scale fixed income trading application implementation, and performed risk control and profit and loss analysis for a global derivatives firm, among other projects.
