Application Instructions
-
Take your time learning about IIT Stuart's graduate programs to select the one that is right for you. If you have questions that are not answered by the information you find online, contact us for assistance.
-
Check the application deadlines for your desired term of entry. IIT Stuart admits graduate students on a rolling basis, and we encourage you to complete your application as early as possible.
-
Review the appropriate application checklist to learn what is required to complete your application for your desired program:
Make arrangements for testing (e.g., the GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exams), if necessary. Read about the admission requirements for your program. If your standardized exam scores do not meet the minimums required for admission consideration, consider retaking the exam(s).
-
Submit your application online: Fall 2013 applicants, Spring 2014 and future applicants.
-
Within five days after you submit your application, you will receive an email that tells you your applicant ID (GID) number. Be sure to include this number on documents you mail to us or other communications with our office. You will also receive instructions for checking your application status online.
-
Submit your remaining application materials. Again, use the appropriate link below to find submission instructions for items required to complete your application.
-
Continue to check your application status online, where you will always find the most up-to-date information about your application.
During this time, you will receive courtesy emails from our office that remind you about application materials we have not yet received. If you recently submitted those items, please disregard the emails. Due to processing time, it can take up to two weeks from the time we receive your documents before your status will update online. We are working hard to enter credentials into our database as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience!
-
IIT Stuart admits graduate students on a rolling basis. Admission decisions are typically made three to five weeks after your application becomes complete. (Average decision time may reach four to six weeks during peak application season in February through May.)
You will be able to see your decision immediately through the online application status check system. We will also notify you by email within 24 hours, and your official decision letter will follow shortly thereafter. If you are admitted, your admission letter will state any special instructions or conditions on your enrollment.
All applicants are automatically considered for funding from the university (i.e., merit-based scholarships) upon submission of a completed application packet. If you receive a funding award, you will be notified of the award in your official admission letter.
-
If you are an admitted international student who will be studying on an F-1 visa and we have already received and processed your financial support documents, we will mail your I-20 along with your admission letter. On the day that we mail your letter and I-20, we will send you an email that provides your SEVIS number and tracking number. Use your SEVIS number to secure your visa appointment as early as possible.
If you have not yet submitted your financial support documents, do so as soon as possible so that you have sufficient time to complete the visa process.
-
After admission, you will receive a series of communications that tell you more about your next steps toward enrollment at IIT Stuart. Congratulations!
