    Application Checklist: Non-Degree

Your application for a non-degree graduate program will be reviewed for admission consideration once the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment has received and processed all of the items on the checklist below.

    1. Application
      Submit your application online.

    2. Application fee
This $75 fee may be paid (a) by credit card or Paypal account when prompted at the end of the online application process, (b) by credit card through the IIT Bursar's Office payment website, or (c) by check or money order made payable to Illinois Institute of Technology and mailed to the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment. For the most expedient processing, we recommend option (a).

The application fee is waived for applicants who have been enrolled at IIT in the past or who attend an IIT graduate open house event.

    3. Transcripts
We require complete transcripts from each university you have attended for any length of time (both undergraduate and graduate study).

Guidelines for transcripts from institutions within the United States: Official, original transcripts must be sent directly to IIT by the issuing institution(s) either by post or electronically. In certain cases as determined by your IIT admission coordinator after you apply, photocopies mailed or faxed to IIT by the institution may be accepted for review purposes.

Transcripts from institutions in China must bear the original stamp/seal of the university on each page and must be sent to IIT by post, either by the issuing institution or by the applicant, in an envelope signed and sealed by the university.

Transcripts from institutions in India: Individual marksheets are required from all institutions attended; consolidated transcripts cannot be accepted. Either original marksheets or photocopies that have been attested on each page by the Registrar or Controller of Examinations of the degree-granting university (not affiliate college) are required. Marksheets must be sent to IIT by post, either by the institution or by the applicant.

Transcripts from institutions in Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone: Official, original transcripts must be sent directly to IIT by the issuing institution via post.

Transcripts from institutions in all other countries: Official, original transcripts must be sent directly to IIT by post, either by the issuing institution or by the applicant.

If your prior institution does not issue transcripts in English, both the original and a professional English translation are required. If your prior institution does not use the 4.0 scale grading system, your admission coordinator in the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment will evaluate your grades to that system upon review of your transcripts. In the case we are unable to evaluate the credentials, applicants will be required to have their documents professionally evaluated. Applicants are free to choose their own service; however, we highly recommend World Education Services, Educational Credential Evaluators, or One Earth International Credential Evaluations. Official transcripts must be submitted along with the evaluation.

    4. Resume
Your current resume may be submitted (a) through your online application, (b) by email to admission@stuart.iit.edu, or (c) by fax to 312.567.3138. For the most expedient processing, we recommend option (a). Please choose only one form of submission.

Note: Public Administration applicants only are not required to submit a resume.

    5. TOEFL or IELTS scores (if required)
Any applicant whose undergraduate degree was earned at an institution where the primary language of instruction is not English must submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores.

We require official TOEFL or IELTS scores sent directly to IIT Stuart by the testing service. Please request that your scores be set to institution code 1318; no department code is required.
Only transcripts/marksheets should be submitted by post.
    Please mail those items to:
