Application Checklist: Non-Degree
Your application will be reviewed for admission consideration once the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment has received and processed all of the items on the checklist below.
Within five days after you submit your application online, we will send you an email that provides your applicant ID number and explains how you can use that number to check your application status online. The application status check system is updated daily and will always display the most current information about your application.
You will receive periodic emails from IIT Stuart, reminding you about application items we have not yet received. If you recently submitted those items, please disregard the reminder messages. It may take up to ten business days for your documents to be processed once received by the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment.

Application Checklist for Non-Degree Graduate Students
- Completed application
- Application fee: The $75 fee may be paid (a) by credit card or Paypal account when prompted in the online application process, (b) by credit card through the IIT Bursar's Office payment website (select "Application Fee-Stuart Graduate" from the drop-down list and send a copy of the payment confirmation email you receive to gradstu@iit.edu), or (c) by check or money order made payable to Illinois Institute of Technology and mailed to the Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment. For the most expedient processing, we recommend option (a). The fee is waived for applicants who have been enrolled at IIT in the past or who attend an IIT Stuart graduate open house event.
- Official transcripts (individual marksheets, where applicable) from all post-secondary institutions (undergraduate and graduate study) attended
- A current resume
