Graduate Certificate Programs

Introduction
IIT Stuart offers a series of graduate certificate courses that are specifically designed working professionals who are seeking to enhance their professional knowledge but who are not ready to enroll in a degree program. Our certificate programs are excellent options for anyone who is looking to earn additional professional credentials, gain specialized knowledge, or make a career change.

As a certificate student, you will be enrolled in the same courses as degree-seeking students, so you will benefit from the same world-recognized faculty and goal-oriented curriculum as IIT Stuart’s other students. And, because certificate courses are drawn from our degree programs, you can apply your course credits toward a related MS or MBA if you apply and are accepted into one of our programs.

We offer over twenty different certificate options, ranging from courses in business administration and environmental management to financial markets. And if you decide to enroll in a degree program at IIT Stuart, you can apply your certificate credits toward your MS or MBA.

You choose between day or night courses, and select courses are also available on the weekends and at our suburban Wheaton location.

Admission Requirements
All certificate programs require a bachelor’s degree and at least two years work experience. All of the core courses in this certificate program are regular courses in IIT Stuart School of Business, so students must demonstrate graduate level academic proficiency and meet any prerequisites.

Certain programs have additional requirements

• The Financial Markets series requires a minimum 3.0/4.0 undergraduate GPA, a math diagnostic exam, and some previous accounting and mathematics courses
• The Graduate Management series requires an MBA
• The Environmental Management requires 5 years related work experience

Program requirements
Most certificate programs consist of four courses. There are a few exceptions:

• Healthcare Management/Track C (eight courses) NOTE: Tracks A and B in this series require four courses.

Some courses in the program may require the completion of certain prerequisites or their equivalent. Check the course descriptions for prerequisite requirements.
