Leo Bassett

Since high school, Leo Bassett has wanted to be at the forefront of new endeavors. His investigation into environmental indicators in wastewater treatment facilities for the Chicago watershed led him to the state science fair (for the second time). When he heard that IIT Stuart School of Business was starting a new undergraduate program, he wanted to get in on the ground floor. Bassett is an active member of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy (IEA). When the IEA established the Chicago Entrepreneurial Quest, an inter-university competition, Bassett jumped at the chance and led his team to first place in every category.

Always looking for opportunities, Bassett would like to continue his business education with a graduate degree from Stuart, focusing on environmental studies, and ultimately work with business on the next big thing--ecological sustainability.
