Creativity. Innovation. Entrepreneurship. Incisive decision-making. Leadership. Sustainability. These core concepts are the philosophy of the Center for Strategic Competitiveness (CSC), a Stuart School of Business research and solutions-development center. Established in 2007, the CSC is a university-wide initiative that focuses the efforts of academic, community, and corporate partners to facilitate economic, workforce and entrepreneurial development. Led by Executive Director Harvey Kahalas, the CSC is committed to enhancing the ability of individuals, organizations and governmental units to respond proactively and innovatively to global market challenges in the Next Economy.

The CSC has initiated collaborative projects focused on applied research, technology transfer, best practices and environmental sustainability with organizations such as the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and Argonne National Laboratory. Learn more about the CSC.
