Center for Sustainable Enterprise
George NassosHow can business move forward in a world where the reality of limited resources is increasingly apparent and the need for sustainability grows with each passing year. The Center for Sustainable Enterprise at IIT Stuart School of Business is based on the realization that a healthy enterprise-based economy is dependent on a healthy ecology. Through inter-disciplinary approaches to developing and implementing practical and equitable business strategies that advance the ecological sustainability of the Greater Chicago Area, the Center serves as a resource center and partner for business, the academy, government agencies and Non-Government Organization (NGO) communities. Projects at the Center for Sustainable Enterprise include an urban wind turbine installation, the Lake Calumet Ecological Initiative and Urban Timber, an alternative paradigm to current forestry and landscape practices.
