IIT Stuart Student Organizations

African American Business Students Organization (AABSO)

Open to undergraduate and graduate students at IIT, the mission of the AABSO is to encourage diversity and cultural enrichment at IIT Stuart School of Business, to assist in the development of African American business professionals and entrepreneurship, and to assist in the recruitment, retention, and graduation of African American students.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

Cultural Interest Group

CIG’s mission is to help Stuart students explore the cultural arts of Chicago.

Healthcare Management Society (HMS)

The mission of HMS is to help MBA students apply their education to a career in the healthcare industry.

Indian Business Student Association (IBSA)

Indian Business Student Association (IBSA) mission is to create awareness towards India’s Culture and Business Opportunities. By organizing India-centered activities concentrating on both cultural development and professional development, IBSA provides opportunities to both Indian and non-Indian students.

IIT Net Impact

Net Impact is an international network of over 10,000 emerging leaders committed to using the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact. IIT Net Impact is devoted to helping members expand their network, hone their skills, build their careers and change their communities through business. This upcoming academic year, IIT Net Impact will host educational, networking, community service, and career development events. In addition, members of this new organization can sign up to receive national and local chapter newsletters; contribute to campus greening and community service initiatives; and participate in consulting and capacity building projects.

The National Association of Women MBAs

The National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering women MBAs in order to propel more women into leadership positions in corporate America and to enhance the diversity of the nation's workforce. In order to accomplish its mission, NAWMBA focuses its efforts in four key areas: Education, Professional Department, Networking and Collaboration.

Stuart's Association of Latin Students and Alumni

Stuart's Association of Latin Students and Alumni (SALSA) seeks to support the interests of the Hispanic/Latino students and to enhance their experience at the Stuart Graduate School of Business. SALSA main goal is to create a channel of discussion where all participants may enhance their knowledge of the Latin American culture as well as the career opportunities that our continent offers and to continue to connect to their Latin Alumni.

Stuart Graduate Student Council

Stuart Graduate Student Council plans and facilitates cultural, social and professional developmental programs to meet the needs and interest of Stuart School of Business.

Stuart Investments

Stuart Investments is an investment fund managed by graduate students at the Stuart Graduate School of Business. Established in 2005, the objective of this fund is to offer those with an interest in investments the opportunity to develop their skills in the fundamental valuation of equity securities and the management of the portfolio. Trading with real money, members vote on the purchase and sale of stocks after a research team makes a comprehensive presentation on the perceived investment value of a firm. After the investment is made, students monitor, track and calculate the return to each investment and the portfolio.

Stuart Marketing Association

The Stuart Marketing Association aims to provide networking and leadership opportunities to participating students. The organization offers conferences, seminars, and case competitions, providing students with vast educational resources to further enhance their experience at Stuart. It also seeks to increase public knowledge about Stuart’s Masters in Communication and MBA programs, while developing a reputation as a program with extraordinary students.

Stuart Pan Asian Student Organization (SPASO)

The goal of this student organization is to prepare our Pan-Asian students for the American job market and help them get assimilated into American culture. With the cooperation of The National Association of Asian-American Professionals (NAAAP) nurtures the leadership skills, assertiveness, and communications skills while providing the Stuart community a broader exposure to the Asian culture and business outlook.

Synergy Environmental Management Services Association (SEMSA)

SESMA organizes students, alumni, and faculty who are interested in Environmental Management Services in order to recognize and provide the required services (educational and professional) for clients.
